Ssshhhhhhh.... taking 10 minutes out of my work day to update my blog. It is well overdue for an update and seen I am planning on using it more over the next 6 or 7 weeks I should really let you know what I have been up to.

Lets go back to the last post... Easter 2012 was spent at Dundee Beach. So many things and pictures have been taken since then, I would not like to estimate how many but if I just take a small 5 day trip to Singapore at Easter 2013 I took over 2000 photo's in 5 days... so that may give you an idea.

I am currently 10 days away from my 14 day Outback Odyssey bike ride.  I have only been talking about doing this ride for 2 years and the time has finally come and it's now very close to packing the bike in a box and getting on the flight to Adelaide.

I have been doing heaps of training on my new bike that the wonderful Patrick brought for me. I think just quitley I might be driving him crackers talking about riding all the time.

Mum and Dad have been on the road (caravaning) since Easter and are almost in Adelaide ready to meet me and Mum has been doing lots of riding on the road too. Yes, forgot to tell you all my Mum (63) is doing the ride with me. After the 2009 Bike Queensland ride she said this ride with only 200 people not the 1000 of BQ would be much better. We are however taking the campeasy option this year and having out tents and bedding supplied.

It's kind of all the same concept as Bike QLD, they supply all the food and all I (& mum) have to do is ride from point A to point B every day.... Now when I say 14 days... There is two rest days in this. 4 days ride rest day 4 days ride rest day and then 4 days ride and finish.

So after the 14 days Dad will meet us and we will then have 3 weeks to drive back to Darwin before I have to and the thought of going back to work... #yuck

I have grand plans to climb Ayres Rock this year so I hope it is open when we get there. Other than the bike ride and Ayres Rock (oh and the chocloate shops and wineries) we dont have any set plans.
